Q. What is a Prequalification Form or a PQF?

A. Many companies, at the insistence of their attorneys or insurers, require that other companies wanting to do business with them prove that they have the qualifications to perform the work.   As a result, the PreQual process has come about. 

Q. What is Veritas Data PQS?

A. Veritas Data PQS is an automated system to allow you, the subscriber, to quickly, easily and economically complete Pre Qualifications forms for the many different companies you work for and secure more business for your company.

Q. What does Veritas Data PQS do?

A. We gather your information once in a secure database, verify, track and update pertinent data and create completed PreQual forms in the proper format, saving time and money for our clients and allowing them to bid on more work.

Q. Aren’t all PreQual forms the same?

A. No.  PreQual forms vary from simple one page forms to questionnaires of 30 or more pages.  Veritas Data is presently working with industry groups to develop a standard set of questions, but each company’s legal situation and internal requirements are different and, therefore, so are their forms.

Q. How long does it take to complete the application?

A. The time will vary, but your staff only has to do this once and it need not be completed in one session.  It will take at least several hours for someone to input the data.  Veritas Data’s staff will work with you to keep your data current from that point forward.

THE COST

Q. What is the annual subscription cost?

A. The annual subscription fee is $1,000 and is required to cover the cost of electronic storage and maintenance of your data

Q. Is this a one time charge?

A. No. The subscription in the Veritas Data PreQual System is renewable annually.

Q. What is the cost of a completed PQS Form/output report?

A. $100.00 per PreQualification Form.

Q. Is there a transaction fee to make changes or update my company’s information? 

A. No. There is only the annual subscription fee.

HOW DO I USE PQS

Q. How do I request a completed PQS form?

A. A single click on your System Dashboard page allows you to select the recipient for the output so the proper format for that company is used.  The completed form will be sent to you in digital form for your final proofreading and forwarding to the recipient.    

Q. How quickly can a PreQual be output?   

A. Once Veritas Data has notified you that your data is ready, an output in digital form can be ordered and completed in a few minutes.  

Q. Does Veritas Data have every PreQual output form?

A. Not yet, but if we do not have the form you need, you can email, fax or mail it to Veritas Data and we will rapidly convert the form to fit our system and provide the proper output.  Our fax # is 225-246-8615 and our mailing address is 7117 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA 70806.

Q. How do I update my company information?

A. Simply log in to your Dashboard page and make the corrections or changes.

Q. How do we know what is in the completed forms?

A. The completed forms are sent to you in digital form to be forwarded to the company requesting them.  This allows you to sign those forms that require it and to make a final proofread.

 

SAFETY AND SECURITY

Q. Is our business information safe and secure?

A. Yes, your information is safe and secure. Veritas Data™ does not market to or solicit business from any of our clients. We will not share, sell, release or use your information for any reason other than in the completed PreQual forms sent to you for your use.   All our data is stored in a Tier 4 Data Storage Facility, behind multiple firewalls, with access only through the use of User IDs and passwords.

Q. Must we give all of our confidential information to Veritas Data?

A. The more information we have, the more complete the output forms will be.  With that in mind, any information our clients wish to keep to themselves, we will accommodate by noting in the output that you receive that you need to add the withheld data to the package. 

 

OTHER BENEFITS

Q. Is there a history of my company’s transactions?

A. Yes.  Once information is input, it is retained in the system archives.  Newer information is kept at the ready and all changes or additions are logged and date stamped according to who made the change.  Changes to critical information, such as insurance or licensing, are verified prior to final posting on the database. 

Q. How does Veritas Data™ keep their information up to date as far as the validity of the insurance certificates and professional and state licenses? 

A. At Veritas Data™, information tracking is an integral part of our business. The Veritas Data™ Insurance Verification Team is assigned to watch for changes in these policies. We review the status of each policy at least 3 times in a 12-month period using third party verification.  Licenses are similarly tracked and verified on an ongoing basis.

Q. We as a General Contractor are also a certificate holder on the sub's policy – how can Veritas Data™ offer more than what I'm already doing?

A. A number of General Contractors have found that their own internal processes for checking on the proper licensing and insurances of their subcontractors are time consuming, expensive, and difficult to administer resulting in unanticipated claims. A significant portion of our staff is dedicated to monitor any policy or licensing changes that might occur. Veritas Data™ will do this work on your behalf and reduce your overhead in the process.
